Since 2009, Pronto Transport BV has been operating as a freight forwarder and charterer. Yet the company’s experience goes further back in time. For over 35 years, owner Ron Hooghiemstra has been involved in road transport. Over 15 years ago, he decided to turn that knowledge and experience into Pronto Transport BV.
“Personal contact, good information and service, reliability and reasonable pricing have been the pillars for successfully doing business in the transport sector all these years. Whereas I used to take on all kinds of cargo from different clients and then arrange vehicles for them with various carriers, I have become much more selective in this. Cargo is now only accepted from reliable clients. I want to make sure the cargo is transported by one of the regular carriers. Without that guarantee, no vehicle leaves. Of course, I am missing opportunities with this. On the other hand, it results in more time and peace of mind to carry out the assignments I do take on to the best of my ability.”
